Bartles Lochs
This special place is a dry fly paradise. Located less than 90 minutes from downtown, this property makes a perfect day trip. You can expect to find feeding trout cruising the banks and trophy fish holding deep. If you want to experience the excitement of seeing a fish take a dry fly this is a great place to fish.
Blue Heron
On the St. Vrain River, just miles from a heron rookery it stands to reason that waters of the Blue Heron Farm are teaming with fish. Those who survive their first year are savvy and more importantly too large to be eaten. That is good news for anglers. The average fish is about 17 inches and the seclusion of fishing in a cottonwood forest will remind anglers of the hardwood forests in the east. Blue Heron Lake is a superb warm water fishery where you can complete a Colorado duel slam by landing three species of trout, two species of bass and a blue gill all in one day.
Boulder Ranch
Boulder River Ranch is the downstream cousin of the Lincoln Hills Fly Fishing Club's home property and is managed by the same group. This one-mile stretch of river is a wonderful place to catch a Grand Slam (rainbow, brown, cutthroat and brook trout) in a single day. The river is complimented with 17 ponds filled with large feisty trout.

The club is comprised of four sections on just under 2 miles of river. South Boulder Creek averages 60 feet in width with an average flow of 300 CFS. Within its reaches is some of the finest fly fishing for trophy trout found anywhere in Colorado. In addition to the river, several spring fed ponds and a 10 acre lake on the property contain healthy populations of aggressive trout. These still-waters are a nice change of pace, an open space to work on your dry fly casting, a safe place to teach children how to fish and offer great access to those with disabilities.
